Annual Wellness Exams

The annual wellness exam promotes health, provides early detection of disease, and gives you an opportunity to learn about healthy habits and ways to take care of yourself throughout your lifetime.

In addition to a pelvic and breast exam, our physicians will ask you for supplementary information regarding your health. This is to ensure that we have the most accurate picture of your overall health and understand your risk factors for disease or other health issues.

What to Expect - Additional Health Questions

  • Current medical issues
  • Family medical history
  • Menstrual cycles
  • Pregnancy history
  • Contraceptive use

Birth Control

While birth control can be used to prevent pregnancy, it can also be used to regulate hormones in women who have chronic health conditions that deplete the body's normal supply of estrogen and progesterone. Birth control is also beneficial for women who have chronic conditions such as endometriosis, fibroid tumors, or excessively difficult periods.

Age, weight, overall health, and other factors can influence the effectiveness of various types of birth control. We offer knowledgeable and supportive counsel in choosing among the various birth control methods available.
